If you like this blog.. You Can’t be president!

Can you ever be President of the USA?

Are you a Christian? Duh.. get to the front of the line

If you are a Mormon… Well, we’ll think about voting for you (if you don’t have too many wives)… you still love Jesus, right?

Muslim? Sorry we can trust you… you are just not Judeo-Christian enough. By the way, can I search you. C’mon! Just to make sure you are not packing anything!

You are Pagan/Wiccan? What.. that’s not even a Religion ( Source: George W Bush).

Buddhist, Hindu, atheist, etc? Look..you got to face it this is Christian Nation and you can’t uphold our Christian Constitution!!!

If you don’t believe me Just ask 55% of Americans ( who slept through the constitution part of History class) and John Mccain.

John McCain says(in beliefnet interview):

But I think the number one issue people should make [in the] selection of the President of the United States is, ‘Will this person carry on in the Judeo Christian principled tradition that has made this nation the greatest experiment in the history of mankind?'”

The Constitution says:

…no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

John McCain says:

I would probably have to say yes, that the Constitution established the United States of America as a Christian nation.

Constitution says:

what… wait a minute. i didn’t say nothing about God or Christianity.

From Treaty of Peace and Friendship(between the United States of America and the Bey and Subjects of Tripoli of Barbary.):

As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion,-as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Musselmen…

McCain: But I say that in the broadest sense. The lady that holds her lamp beside the golden door doesn’t say, “I only welcome Christians.” We welcome the poor, the tired, the huddled masses. But when they come here they know that they are in a nation founded on Christian principles.

Hmm… kinda sucks for us non-Christians who were born here. Guess no one told us ( like they informed immigrants) that This nation was founded on Christian Principles… Soon we’ll all be required to wear crosses(no celtic ones either).

Great Responses to Mccain’s interview:

Why Jesus Can’t Be President

McCain and the Godless Constitution

  1. Actually, The Constitution makes numerous references to “Our Creator, and Our Lord.” And, as to whether this country was founded on Christian-Judeo principles, the only ones debating that are non-Christians.

  2. Actually, I know a number of Christians who argue against the idea that the country was founded on Judeo-Christian principles, both because they’ve studied history and because when religion and government become intertwined, both suffer for it.

Poor McCain — I think he’s trying to make up for 2000, in a way, and it’s only making him look like a fool.
